Are you tired of every time switching to Incognito mode after each time you run Google Chrome web browser. There is a simple solution to this by adding a simple command line switch to the Google Chrome shortcut. I had successfully tried this in version 0.3.154.0, 0.3.154.6 and 0.3.154.9 but can’t get it working in version version 0.2.149.30.
Right click on the Google Chrome shortcut and select Properties. In Google Chrome Properties and select Shortcut menu. In the Target text box, insert “–incognito” with a space at the end as show below: -
Click OK button to apply the setting. Finally, you have enable your Google Chrome to start in Incognito mode. And, don’t forget to download the latest beta release 0.3.154.9 offline installer released on Oct 29, 2008.

Notepad++ is my favorite free text editor that I use daily. The current latest version is 5.1 and it supports various languages. It is currently available in the Windows platform and it is licensed under GPL.
I would like to introduce one useful plugin comes with Notepad++ is MIME Tools. This is a very useful plugin for me to perform troubleshooting on SMTP AUTH using telnet because we need to enter the full email address and the password encoded in Base64. Let’s do a simple test.
Run the Notepad++. Open a new normal text file. Key in “password” and highlight it in the text file as below.
Next, go to Plugins menu, then MIME Tools and select Base64 Encode as below.
And, you get the output of the Base64 Encode as below.
To reverse the encoded Base64, we need to decode it by going to Plugins menu, then MIME Tools and select Base64 Decode as below.
Is that simple? Give it a try and you will begin to love Notepad++ inside out.

Google Chrome, the open source and free web browser developed by Google was released on September 2, 2008. Since the day one of the release, it has been widely accepted by huge numbers of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and even Opera users. Well, glad to say that I am poisoned and now addicted to Google Chrome. I remembered that the first time I installed Google Chrome, I need to download a small 474KB setup file ChromeSetup.exe from Google Chrome official website. Then, this setup file will download the required 7 to 8MB file to finish the installation.

Well, Maybank2U (aka M2U) website where it is a complete one-stop financial portal offering online services to its customers such as banking, insurance and stock broking. As a customers, I always pay bills, enquire balance and conduct other financial services transactions using M2U. And, I have been using the all new M2U website since the day one of the launching on October 16, 2008.
However, I am very upset and angry with the difficulties that I am facing while I am accessing the M2U. This new M2U website loads slower than the previous version. I prefer the old one (aka Classic) and as just a user and I don’t really look at the brand new design. Perhaps, the team in M2U should be emphasize more on the easy and simple usage of it rather than giving more steps when performing any transaction in the new M2U website. Also, I did noticed that the IP address has changed. The old IP address is 12.x.x.x and the new is 202.162.17.68. Hmm…I wonder if they have also moved data center and what is the bandwidth they are getting (access speed is like snail). I even faced system busy message from M2U.
Thankfully, the Classic version of M2U is now accessible through the new M2U main page. You can head to this all-you M2U blog to read the recent updates on the new M2U website. Blogger Danny Foo also facing the same issue. You can read his post here.
