Google Has a New Favicon

Did you notice that Google has a new favicon? Google has replaced the upper-case blue “G” in a blue, green and red borders with a lower-case purple “g” in a white backgrond. The new Google favicon is located here in 16×16 pixels ICON format.

The first time when I saw it, I can’t believe my eyes. I thought something wrong with my browser caching mechanism. But after googling around, I found that it is a real thing that Google has changed their favicon. Some people said that the new favicon looks similar to Ghostscript logo. Personally, I still prefer the old favicon. What do you think?

I owned a dot matrix printer some time year 2000. I was a student at that time and I can’t afford to purchase an inkjet printer or a laser printer because the ink cartridge and toner cartridge is expensive. However, I so lucky to own an inkjet printer from a lucky draw during a company annual dinner but I am having hard time paying for the high price ink cartridge manufactured by the printer manufacturer. Today, I stumbled upon a website offering premium ink cartridge with an affordable price.

Carrot Ink was founded by John and Amy Howard in 1998 where they have the belief that quality inkjet cartridges shouldn’t cost more than the printer itself. With the continuity support from the consumers, Carrot Ink will continue to sell its high quality cartridges from 30% to 70% lower than the printer manufacturer’s cartridges. Generating Dummy Text for Websites

Have you heard of loren ipsum? It is a commonly used dummy text for printing, web designing and typesetting to demonstrate a document and visual presentation. I stumbled upon this handy website which gives you the flexibility to generate dummy text in loren ipsum. You have the option to change number of words, number of characters, number of paragraphs as well as to display the HTML paragraph < p > tag.

In advanced options, you have the ability to adjust for your preferred font family, font weight, font style, font size, letter spacing, line height, text transform, text decoration and text alignment. If you can’t read loren ipsum, you can change the dummy text to the type that you can read. Isn’t this cool? I found it is a very handy tool for web designers.
