Its been a long time I haven’t blog about food in my blog here after the my last food blog post on June 2, 2008. Let me share with you my favorite order everytime I stopped by Kassa Corner in Putra Heights. I will definitely order one Nasi Goreng Belancan Thai and one cup of Sirap Ais.

I love the taste of how the the “nasi goreng” is cooked with “belacan” plus all the small little things wrap around the “nasi goreng” with sliced chicken meat, cut tomatoes, cut “cili padi”, cut onions, cut cucumber, cut mango and cut long bean.

So, to any lovers of “nasi goreng”, you should try this Nasi Goreng Belacan Thai at Kassa Corner located at Jalan Putra Permai 10/1N, Putra Heights, Subang Jaya. Hehehe…a little free promo fro me.

I have been talking to my wife regarding returning to eat Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee for quite some time. At last we went there yesterday morning with my parents and my daughter too. We reached Kin Kin at 8:30am. The tables in Kin Kin was not fully occupied. We easily grabbed a table which is under the ceiling fan. Sitting under the ceiling fan for this famous spicy stuff. Hehehe…don’t you think we are well prepared.

Perhaps, this is my second visit to Kin Kin and the last visit was in year 2004. Without any delay, I ordered three dry pan mee and two soup pan mee. Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee comes with poached egg, fried anchovies, spring onions and minced pork. After waited for 10 minutes, the dry chilli pan mee and soup pan mee is served to us. I was surprised to see the serving portion of a bowl is not small as per my last visit 4 years ago. A bowl is not enough for me 4 years ago but now is enough.

However, I would like to warn that the chilli flakes is extremely spicy. If you are a first timer, do not put a big chunk into the pan mee because it will burn your mouth and your tummy. One bowl costs RM 5.00 each (only one type of serving no matter big or small). I can’t remember what is the price 4 years ago but definitely the price has gone up. It is consider expensive but it is worth to try it. I included a location map to Restoran Kin Kin (a must try chilli pan mee for everyone) as above. Be sure to testify it yourself.

I was in Bandar Puchong Jaya, Puchong this afternoon with my wife. I remember the popular local 8TV show Ho Chak! did recommend a mouth-watering “Chilli Pan Mee” in this area. I can’t remember the name of the shop but we decided to give it a try to hunt it. Just a few minutes of driving, we managed to find the shop. The shop name is Golden Egg Noodle.

I ordered a Dry Chilli Pan Mee and my wife ordered a Chilli Pan Mee (soup). Both these Chilli Pan Mee comes with fried anchovies, minced pork, two small pork balls and chilli paste. Trust me the chilli paste is not spicy. Unfortunately, the serving of my Dry Chilli Pan Mee is kind of small and its not enough for me. The Golden Egg Chilli Pan Mee costs us RM 5.30 each which is rather expensive compare to another popular Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee in central Kuala Lumpur. However, it is worth to try it.

The first time I taste this dried meat (or rougan in Chinese or yuk gon in Cantonese) and I started to love it. I have been eating this delicious dried meat since I know my wife. This is because this dried meat was introduced by my sister-in-law, Carolyne. She bought it from Malacca every Chinese New Year. Thanks to her.

Do you know that you can’t buy it from the shop? You need to pre-order it. But, what to do? People will wait or queue for any delicious food. Are you?
