Mozilla Firefox 3.0.1

After releasing Firefox 3.0 by Mozilla on June 18, 2008, Mozilla is releasing Firefox 3.0.1 to fixed several issues found in Firefox 3. You can read more on the Firefox 3.0.1 release note here and Mozilla is happily to receive your feedback or submitting a bug in Bugzilla. You can now download the latest version of Firefox 3.0.1 here in variety of operating systems and languages.

However, you can also download the older version of Firefox 2 here and it will be maintained with security and stability updates until mid-December, 2008.

Firefox 3 Official Download Day Time

Firefox 3 will be released very soon. We already know the official Download Day date is June 17th 2008. But, do you know the exact time? The official Firefox 3 Download Day time starts on 1000 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). You can check your local times here. I had pledged and will stay up late to start download Firefox 3 at 0100 Malaysia Time (MYT) which is 1700 GMT/UTC. How about you?

Firefox 3 Coming Out on June 17th

I am very excited about the news I read in Mozilla Developer News that Firefox 3 is coming out officially on June 17th 2008, Tuesday. Will start my count down myself. 3 days to go. At the meantime, you can download the Firefox 3 Release Candidate 3 prior to the release of Firefox 3. It is available in more than 45 languages and 3 different platforms includes Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.

I will be joining the Firefox 3 greatest mission to set a Guinness World Record for most software downloaded in 24 hours. Lets pledge and dive for Firefox 3. Besides, just wondering anybody is hosting a party celebration for the Firefox 3 launch in Malaysia?

FoxClocks extension for Mozilla Firefox

FoxClocks extension for my Mozilla Firefox. FoxClocks has extension for Mozilla Thunderbird and Mozilla Sunbird too. It’s Zone Picker tree lets you browse virtually all the world’s time zones by country, region or city. You can change the standard time format if you don’t like. You can even create your own custom time format. FoxClocks can take you to any location from Google Earth database. It is a very good extension for me because I need to work with different people globally for me to know their working hours.

The current stable version of FoxClocks is 2.1.93 released on 26 June 2007. The new features in this version are: -

  • Keep up-to-date with automatic time zone database updates (can’t reach the Internet? Update automatically from your LAN)
  • Set your clocks to change colour, e.g. make your clocks green from 9 to 5 local time
  • Style your clocks: bold, italic, underlined
  • Move your FoxClocks settings between computers
  • Choose the right time zone more easily with a new Zone Picker (English-only)
  • Show your clocks in the statusbar/toolbar, just in a tooltip, or both
  • Sort your clocks by name or local time
