Unthrottle BitTorrent Speed Using TCP-Z

First of all, I would like to apologize for not being blogging lately because being busy with work especially every 2nd week of the month. My previous blog post about unthrottle BitTorrent speed with modded BitComet was on Dec 31, 2008 and now I would like to share an alternative way of unthrottle your BitTorrent speed using the best TCP/IP Patch, TCP-Z. What is TCP-Z does?

TCP-Z is a TCP half open limited patcher and network monitor. TCP-Z can be run in Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Windows Vista and Windows 7 on all 32bit and 64bit platform. You have an option to patch your Windows’ TCPIP.SYS file by changing the half-open limit in the kernel memory and this give you immediate effect without rebooting your computer. This modification remains until you shutdown or reboot your computer. The other option is to patch the TCPIP.SYS file but the effect will take place after you reboot your computer and this patch apply only once and forever.

I know some of you guys out there is still using 3rd party VPN provider to just achieve the download rate but with TCP-Z you can say bye bye to them. I am running it with uTorrent for few months and very happy with it. Indeed, I limit my download rate to 64kB/sec and upload rate to 8kB/sec in uTorrent to avoid complain from other users at home.

Lastly, I hope TCP-Z works for you with the Internet Service Provider (ISP) you subscribed. Please read the TCP-Z user guide to know more about TCP-Z.

Measure Your Internet Broadband Speed Using SpeedTest

Since last month, my Internet Service Provider (ISP) speed is really slow to international website especially to US either download or upload access. Before calling to my ISP to complain about the situation, I used Speedtest.net the global broadband speed test analysis tool that allows me to test my Internet connection speed. This service is provided by Ookla for free to everyone who would like to perform their Internet connection speed test. This service is available from locations around the world.

My advise is choose the server closer to your location and start your Internet speed test. The Internet speed test will first test the ping latency. Once the ping latency is done, the download speed test will be started and follow by upload speed test. A final summary report will be displayed once all this test is done. Well, test your Internet broadband speed today to see your results.
