Switching Off My Blog to Support Earth Hour Malaysia 2009

In conjunction with the Earth Hour Malaysia 2009, I am switching off my blog using the Maintenance Mode plugin in WordPress to fight global warming and I will be turning off lights in my house for an hour too. Also, I created few simple Earth Hour wallpapers to cater different resolutions. You can download the wallpaper using links below: -

The image in the wallpaper is courtesy of Earth Hour. Please feel free to use the wallpaper in your desktop, laptop or server to help spreading the word about the importance of switching off your lights for 1 hour at 8:30pm on March 28, 2009. If you have a blog, please show your support by blogging about Earth Hour and switch off your blog too. Come on…just 1 hour only, show your support to mother nature.

    The Earth Hour is a great initiative and i support it fully. Turning off your blog for an hour is a great idea! Blog off = less power used = ecological. Even if the amount saved is minimal, you really contribute. Not only talk about contributing like most do.

    It’s a very nice intitive to show the world how many people care. However I don’t think that the benefits for the nvironment will be that huge.

    i always participate whenver there is an Earth Hour event. it is a good thing that the World Wildlife Fund organized an event like this.
