Sony Joined the Netbook Competition

Well, this is rather not a latest news but I just want to share that Sony has joined the “netbook” competition with other manufacturer like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI. Apparently, the new Sony VAIO “netbook” will be categorize in the P series of their notebook product line. According to the image above, the new Sony VAIO “netbook” has a 1.33GHz Intel processor, a Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium or Home Basic, a 8-inch LED backlit screen with 1,600 pixel by 768 pixel resolution and a choice of a hard-disk drive up to 60GB or a 128GB solid-state disk (SSD).

However, what I would like to see is the support of Linux operating system (OS) by the new Sony VAIO “netbook”. If Linux OS is not supported, then how about Windows XP? Lastly, let’s wait patiently till Consumer Electronics Show (CES) rolls around in early January 2009.
