Unthrottle BitTorrent Speed with Modded BitComet

Yatta! Downloading BitTorrent in my country, Malaysia using TMnet Streamyx has solved after I found this modded version of BitComet 0.66 from a friend. Now I can get the download rate as per my subscribed ADSL account. However, I am kind enough to limit the download rate at 72kB/sec and upload rate at 8kB/sec in BitComet because I don’t want to congest the network and also to avoid complain from other users at home.

Well, you don’t have to pay for a VPN account offered by 3rd party to just achieve the download rate. Indeed, this modded BitComet will definitely help you. Unfortunately, I lost the RapidShare link. I can’t share it here and you have to google it yourself. If you know me personally, I can copy it to your thumbdrive.

Lastly, hope you are able to find the modded BitComet 0.66, start enjoying your download rate and forget about paying extra to 3rd party VPN provider.

Sony Joined the Netbook Competition

Well, this is rather not a latest news but I just want to share that Sony has joined the “netbook” competition with other manufacturer like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI. Apparently, the new Sony VAIO “netbook” will be categorize in the P series of their notebook product line. According to the image above, the new Sony VAIO “netbook” has a 1.33GHz Intel processor, a Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium or Home Basic, a 8-inch LED backlit screen with 1,600 pixel by 768 pixel resolution and a choice of a hard-disk drive up to 60GB or a 128GB solid-state disk (SSD).

However, what I would like to see is the support of Linux operating system (OS) by the new Sony VAIO “netbook”. If Linux OS is not supported, then how about Windows XP? Lastly, let’s wait patiently till Consumer Electronics Show (CES) rolls around in early January 2009.
