Sony Recall 440k Vaio Laptops

Sony has issued a recall of 440k Vaio laptops worldwide due to wiring faulty parts that could cause overheating. This recalls involved 19 models of Vaio TZ laptop series manufactured between May 2007 and July 2008, including three export models.
The Tokyo-based consumer electronics company, Sony said that a number of Vaio users had been burnt by the fault which the wires have been put in the wrong position near the hinge. Somehow, there is a flaw in the circuit board that controls the screen also may cause overheating.

Wow, what a big mistake they have made on the circuit board. So far i have not heard anyone i malaysia having this problem.

And I almost bought a Vaio cos I think they are really sexy. So – I shouldn’t buy a Vaio, ever?
