Dell Launches Studio Laptops

Dell launches new Studio laptops on Thursday June 26, 2008. These two new laptops, Studio 15 and Studio 17 cases consist of seven colors and a unique pattern with 4 trim color options. Picture shown above is Studio 15 (left) and Studio 17 (right). With the introduction starting price of $799 for Studio 15 and $999 for Studio 17, these two laptops is categorized between Inspiron and XPS.
Studio 15 comes with a glossy 15.4 inch widescreen display and Studio 17 comes with a glossy 17.0 inch widescreen display. Both Studio laptops processor support up to Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB) and memory support up to 4GB Dual Channel 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Besides, Studio 15 storage supports up to 320GB 5400 RPM SATA hard drive and Studio 17 storage supports up to 640GB 5400 RPM SATA hard drive. Both the wireless 802.11b/g and 802.11n is available separately for the Studio laptops. You have the option to choose a built-in cellular mobile broadband installed into the Studio laptops.
Perhaps, both Studio 15 and Studio 17 come with either Vista Home Premium SP1 or Vista Ultimate SP1 as your operating system and no Linux support at the moment. The Studio laptop comes with either a slot load CD/DVD burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)) or a slot load Bluray combo drive (Bluray Read Only Drive). You can select an Intel integrated graphics card or a dedicated ATI graphics card.
The Studio laptops comes with 15-pin VGA connector, HDMI connector, USB 2.0 port, IEEE 1394 port, integrated network connector (10/100/1000Mbps), 54mm ExpressCard slot and consumer IR. The starting weight of Studio 15 is 6.11 pounds (2.77 kilograms) and Studio 17 weight starts at 7.87 pounds (3.57 kilograms). The Studio laptops will be available through Dell online website or retail stores worldwide. I can’t wait to see Studio laptops unveil in Malaysia market.
