I installed openSuSE 11 with KDE 4 few days ago on my Dell Vostro 1400.
It's not so stable. Keep freezing very frequently. Force me to shutdown using the power button.

The same happened with KDE 3.5 installation.

Other stuff:
- Wifi doesn't work
- difficult to add apps shortcuts to desktop with KDE 4
- touchpad is very slow in responce

I'm back to openSuSE 10.3, which works like a charm as before.

Cheers.

Danny, I prefer Gnome...

Forever28, you can either install into your laptop or get a Live CD which you can test it without installing it into your laptop.
