My Options to Fuel Price Hike

I was lucky to fill up my tank last week on 4 June 2008 in Caltex, Puncak Jalil after the fuel price hike announcement made. The new price for ULG 97 (unleaded) is RM2.70 per litre now. I managed to fill in RM50 that will give me 26.04 litre (RM1.92/litre). The queue in the station was not as bad as other stations. I queued for 20 minutes.
As usual, I will only go to Shell station to fill up my tank for RM50 because of BonusLink. When I reached Shell station this morning, I was surprised to see the V-Power Racing fuel price is RM3.15 per litre. This is superb crazy but I didn’t chooise it. Perhaps, I continued with Shell Super as usual and for RM50 I got my tank filled up with 18.52 litre of fuel (RM2.70/litre).
I work in Cyberjaya and I travel to Cyberjaya everyday Monday to Friday. I think of three options to save my fuel cost below. Make a difference to our environment and save our mother nature.
- Get a fuel economy car
- Car pooling to work
- Install NGV into your car
Lastly, I had made my decision on installing NGV into my car. How about you?

I wish I were to install NGV into my car… but I hate the queue. But, my car can’t use NGV le.
Lucky I got another fuel saving car. What I do to lower down the fuel consumption is to lighten up my right foot, but will spending more time on the road.
It’s always MONEY vs TIME, it’s depend which is more costly to you.

Yup, please add bike to the possible options man. We really need to think smart and live smart. Don’t just follow the western culture but instead follow and practice the good ones like thinking green.

Actually there are many ways but which one is more practicle.
1) Use NGV its really save, but the installation cost quite high and not all petrol station has it (need to queue with taxi).
2) Drive 90 kmph at anywhere anytime it really save as i started to drive at 90 and i get extra 40 km. Although is not much but atleast got some extra.
3) Bicycle i don’t think is really recommended in KL as too driver in KL is like driving F1 on the road. Its good to have a bicycle at home as you can ride if you need to buy some thing nearby and environment friendly too.
