OpenSolaris 2008.05 is now available for public. OpenSolaris 2008.05 is a Live CD. This allows you to experience it instantly by simply boot up the Live CD to a fully functional desktop environment. After you satisfied with it, you have the option to install with a single click using the new improved easy-to-use installer.
You can download the OpenSolaris 2008.05 ISO image or you can also request a OpenSolaris 2008.05 CD for free deliver to your doorstep. I had request for a free CD copy. Unfortunately, the delivery may take longer time depending on the country. You can refer to the approximate shipping times below: -
- US - 2 to 5 days
- Europe - 5 to 7 days
- Latin America - 2 weeks
- Asia/Africa - 4 weeks
However, there is no free lunch in this world. So, I have to wait patiently for the arrival of the free CD copy from Sun Microsystems. Thank you very much.
