Genting Founder Lim Goh Tong Passed Away

The founder of Kuala Lumpur-based Genting Berhad, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong passed away at 11.20am Tuesday at the Subang Jaya Medical Centre. He died peacefully after a short illness. He was 90. He was renowned for building a successful hilltop casino in Malaysia. This is the only licensed casino in Malaysia. He is survived by wife Puan Sri Lee Kim Hua, and their six children and 19 grandchildren.

Ubuntu Studio released its 7.10 version after few days of Ubuntu 7.10 “Gutsy Gibbon” has been released. Ubuntu Studio is a distribution created for multimedia flavor. It is is aimed at the GNU/Linux audio, video and graphic enthusiast as well as professional. It includes the best open source applications suites for the simplifies of multimedia creation.

Nokia Introduced New S60 Touch UI

Nokia has announced on 16 October 2007 that its S60 smartphone which based on Symbian OS(tm) evolves to enrich the user experience with its new touch user interface. At the Symbian Smartphone Show, Nokia showed S60 running with a new touch user interface. The new touch user interface will support touch screen with a traditional keypad, touch screen with a qwerty keyboard or touch screen alone. It has both finger and stylus optimized input and has support for tactile feedback and is backwardly compatible with the existing S60 platform.

I had successfully upgraded my blog from WordPress 2.2.3 to WordPress 2.3 today after 19 days from the announcement release date. I have two plugins in-compatibility that I need to upgrade.
