Citrix acquires XenSource
Citrix has completed its acquisition of XenSource for approximately $500 million payable in a combination of cash and Citrix common stock. This acquisition moves Citrix from a pioneer in the application virtualization market into adjacent server and desktop virtualization markets. Citrix is now the only company to offer application, desktop and server virtualization solutions.

New Product Names:
Citrix XenServer becomes the product family name
XenExpress becomes Citrix XenServer Express Edition
XenServer becomes Citrix XenServer Standard Edition
XenEnterprise becomes Citrix XenServer Enterprise Edition
Citrix XenServer OEM Edition (current XenExpress OEM Edition, sold to OEMs)
Support Changes:
To meet the request of our customers we are pleased to offer phone support. This is based on per Incident pricing (5 pack for $1500, 25 pack for $5000) can be used for any valid XenServer/XenEnterprise license. Support Hours are 8 AM - 9 PM Eastern, 8 AM - 9 PM GMT.
Dell and HP will be testing, certifying and supporting Citrix XenServer products.
