GIMP 2.4.0 Released
GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. The GIMP 2.4.0 stable released on 24 Oct 2007. It is available from gimp.org and is written and developed under X11 on UNIX. The same code also runs on Windows and OS X. You can read the full release notes here. To celebrate the release of GIMP 2.4.0, they have refreshed the web site.
Its time for me to learn GIMP. How about you?

It is as powerful as Adobe Photoshop,
